Happy Saturday morning friends! I watched a video a few days ago that Melissa from The Clothes Fit The Girl, and author of Well Fed shared on her Facebook page and I can’t stop thinking about it. This short video, I feel, has the potential impact to change the way Americans think about food. I wish I had a bigger platform in which to share this information because if this was shown to children in school, during their impressionable ages, and then shown to their parents, I think it could do a LOT of good for our society.
We are at the point where a change has to occur, for a lot of reasons. The most important issue today is that the rate of obesity in 6 month old babies has more than doubled and that the current generation of kids is projected to live shorter lives than their parents… That has never happened before. It is unacceptable.
Take 10 minutes to watch this very interesting, and very easy to watch video from Slim is Simple. This is a non-profit group “working to provide compelling multimedia wellness resources—free of charge—that everyone can leverage to live better.”
They also say that “any help you can provide to spread the word to your social network, community leaders, politicians, and beyond, is deeply appreciated.” So that is what I am doing!!! Check out their website, www.slimissimple.org, for more information and if you think of someone who could benefit from watching, please share it with them 🙂
